Mom was born in North Dakota and the 3rd
child of Peter Rueben Damskov who immigrated from Denmark just
before the turn of the 20th century. Peter Damskov’s brother was
Niels Damskov who was a Lutheran Minister in Canada and was knighted
by the Danish King about 1890 before immigrating to Canada.
Marion is a life long Lutheran from a
long line of Lutherans. Her father built Bethany Lutheran Church in
Portland, Oregon about 1930. She attended that church until she
moved to Eugene, Oregon where she attended United Lutheran Church
for 30 years. Now living in Burien, Washington, she is a member of
Grace Lutheran, and is the oldest person in the congregation.
Mom is the widow of Johannes Theodore
Hansen. She has two children, Pamela and Greta, 1 grandchild Teddy
and 3 Great Grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Megan and Mason. She is still
active in the church and enjoys the stock market and crossword
puzzles. She is in good health, and we are blessed to have her in
our life.
